Permanent Brow Makeup can be a great solution if you spend a lot of time filling in your sparse brows every day, or if they lack symmetry, shape or definition. This procedure will not only give you a set of tailored face framing brows, it offers a more youthful and refreshed appearance particularly for mature clients. They are sweat proof, water proof and smudge proof, meaning you can wake up in the morning and not have to worry about applying any brow makeup.
So what are powder brows? Using a handheld digital device, pigment is airbrushed into the top layer of skin depositing small micro pixels which creates a ‘shading / powder effect’. The term ‘ombre’ is used as part of the technique where colour definition is placed more at the tail and less at the brow front, mimicking a natural brow shadow. And the good news is that powder brows are suitable for all skin types.
I love to create natural looking brows and each person’s skin tone, face shape and brow goals are different. Therefore pigment colour choice, brow shape and thickness is tailored to each individual to ensure we are enhancing your natural features without the ‘overdone’ look. We only proceed to the actual tattooing stage once you are 100% happy, after a thorough consultation and pre draw using a brow pencil.
Before & immediately after procedure
after care
It can take around 12-14 days for your brows to fully
heal and it is important you follow the aftercare advice
to ensure maximum pigment retention. So for the first
two weeks:
- Keep your brows dry until the top layer of skin has
completely flaked away. This means no saunas, no
swimming and no excessive sweating. - Avoid makeup around the brow area.
- No direct sun exposure or sunbeds for at least 2
weeks afterwards so bear this is mind if you have a
holiday coming up. - Do not scratch or pick at your brows. They may
become a little itchy as the top layer starts to flake
away, but do not be tempted to mess with them as
this will disrupt the healing process and will affect
the end result.
To get the best results and to ensure you do not
encounter any unnecessary sensitivity during your
brow procedure, it is important you follow the advice
given in the run up to your appointment:
- 48 hours before you need to limit alcohol and
caffeine consumption and do not take any aspirin
as these thin the blood which will cause excess
bleeding and could also encourage bruising post
treatment. - No retinol or AHA based skincare 2 weeks prior as
those skincare ingredients encourage skin cell
turnover which increases skin sensitivity. - No botox in the upper face area for at least 2
weeks before. Waiting until after your brow
procedure is the best option. - Be well hydrated before your appointment.

tend to get a colour refresh every 12 months or so to
